The way it was packaged is if someone else had sent it back. it was in a box labeled dog pads, and it was thrown in there. A very well thought out piece and design for my Goldens play and exercise yard. It is sturdy painted and hardware is included for assembly. The hinges are already installed which makes it a little easier. The gravel areas on the ramps and deck are a very nice touch. It would have been really nice if an outdoor waterproof varnish had been added as this piece is large and hard to move about and will be outdoors in all weather conditions. I have three dogs, so keeping dirt and muddy paw prints under control is a constant battle, and this has definitely helped cut down on the mess being tracked through the house.
