My original plan was to sand this piece down and paint it green. However, after seeing how beautiful it is, I think I will be leaving it as is. It was incredibly easy to assemble with clear instructions and took less than an hour. Based on the reviews, we knew that the assembly instructions would be lacking for quality, so we went into this with an open mind. The box that the vanity shipped in was pretty beat up when we received it, and there was some minor damage where the plywood un-laminated in one inside area. We were able to fix this with wood glue. We also used the wood glue in all of the joints to shore it up. It was missing pilot holes for some of the screws, but the wood is so soft that we had no problem with the screws going in. That being said, the wood is sturdy plywood, and the finish (blue) on the outside is nice and smooth. One complaint that we had is that the toe kick is longer than the width of the vanity, and it's long edges are unfinished, so they stick out a little bit. I'm sure no one will notice but it irked us a little. Also we tried to adjust the alignment of the drawers and we were not successful in getting the drawers where we wanted them. It took my husband and I about one hour to assemble this vanity, using glue, and power tools. We're very happy overall with how it looks and can't wait to put it in our new guest bath!. Mary. IL.
