I got tired of chasing down my cheap chairs after every storm so I got these 3 years ago. They are heavy enough not to blow away but still light enough to move around. And they fold away when needed. The color is through and through and they look great after 3 years in the weather. I liked mine so much I requested another pair for Mother's day and I love them. For more comfort I paired them with the footrest/ ottoman. But you don't have to, I just prefer it. These will last for years and are worth it. Oh, and the cupholder is like icing on the cake! These are nice chairs, look good and are sturdy. If you plan to keep them in the shade or in a covered porch or patio then you should be fine. It can take a little water and sun exposure from time to time, but as long as its not exposed to the elements 24/7, it should be fine. We planned to keep this out in the yard and made the mistake of choosing these wooden chairs instead of HDPE. We live in Florida, and get extreme sun and also very heavy and frequent rain. IMO, great chairs! The package and all parts arrived undamaged, parts are well organized in the box with clear labeling, instruction manual is well written with clear/simple drawings, the chair color (light walnut) looks good as advertised, and the chair assembly is painless. First, the included wrench is marginal. IMO, start your chair assembly with a standard wrench - it'll make for a more pleasant experience. Second, I would pre-drill all the screw hole ends to eliminate wood cracking, specifically the seat back (see photo). Use a 3/32" drill bit or smaller on hole ends to prevent wood cracking. This is a great Adirondack chair. The color is rich and vibrant. It really stands out in a setting of bright colors. It has a smooth textured finish vs some that have like a wood grain finish. It folds probably easier than any other Adirondack chair brand I have. Its very sturdy and well manufactured. HDPE is a material that looks like natural wood but performs better than wood in terms of water resistance,scratch resistance,stain resistance,and durability and has a lower maintenance cost than others.

I purchased two of these chairs at a great price. I thought they would light weighted since they were not wood it they are so sturdy. I purchased different cushions for them because I was t very fond the color of cushions they came with the chairs. Over all I am very pleased with them.
