It’s great. I had a 10” mattress and this was pretty much the only option that allowed that size mattress with a significant rail length left to have my toddler protected from rolling over and falling. The rails are not very sturdy but sometimes my daughter climbs over them and they have stayed in a good shape. I was worried about that when I read other reviews but it’s definitely not bad. Please note that there’s a space left on the edges, so if your child uses a pacifier be prepared to go looking for it at night.. Alba. Mon Oct 19 2026

working to get my toddler son’s room converted with a big boy bed. Got this one so we won’t have to worry about him rolling out. The directions recommend 2 adults to put it together but I was able to do it solo in a couple hours. I didn’t put in the door because that’s where he get in and out but it does have a feature with a lock that goes where the opening in the frame is. Now just need to rearrange the room while I wait for his mattress!. Jessica. Dallas, TX. Fri Jul 17 2026

This is a great bed. For the price we are really happy with it! We’re using it for our grandchildren. However, one thing you do need to know is a standard mattress doesn’t fit correctly. There’s about 3 to 4 inches on the top and the bottom that if a child was standing on the bed, their foot can go right down through. We are going to remedy it with some foam and some wood support. However, just beware of this issue. Other than that and the fact that the frame is too big for a standard twin mattress and too small for a twin XL. It’s a really great sturdy bed.. Patricia.
