I think this is great for what it is. Looks good. Friends came over and loved it! My husband and I have put together furniture many times before - this was a challenge! Took about 3 hours. We mistakenly put the base on backwards but I’m ok with that - less dirt to get under. We didn’t have the electric screwdriver - that would’ve made it easier but we would’ve had to be careful not to break the wood - it says that on the directions. Great little cabinet, took off a star because it came very damaged and the tilt out trash side doesn’t line up straight and it’s not the sturdiest thing in the world. I did take a partial refund to keep it so it could be because of the damaged pieces. If you’re having the issue where you don’t think your screws are long enough you need to flip the 7 or 8 pieces around. I do like this wooden trash bin that I purchased. It arrived quickly and was packed neatly and in perfect condition. I am only giving it 4 stars due to the description in the "product overview" on the website. It says the bin has a tight closing lid. It does not. The sides do seat nicely, but the front, below the lid has two decorative cut-outs that will allow any would-be odors to escape. It should have registered with me upon ordering. Even though the website description in the product overview says it has a tight closing lid, the photo of it clearly shows the two cut-outs contradicting the description. Wayfair, you need to fix your product overview description, as it isn't accurate. Im keeping it though. It's attractive, the price is right and the assembly was a piece of cake. The tilt out laundry hamper cabinet was easy to put together. It said it had multiple uses in description kitchen and use as garbage and recycling, hamper.... I got this to use in my kitchen for garbage and recycling however its impossible to find garbage cans that size. So using as a laundry hamper, so far working out perfect. Took me about the length of The Lost Boys movie to put it together. Finish is nice. Unit feels very solid. The hinge clicks into place and sounds like it means business. My garbage can is 10.38 gallons and 20" x 15.3" x 11.3", bought from a home improvement store, and just clears the top when closing. There's a lot of room for a wider one. I went with this model since it matches my cabinets and the height is perfect for them as well. I don't understand why the backboard has a piece of tape running down it. I wonder if it could be peeled off or it might be holding the it together. It's not visible against a wall of course, or you could put it in the inside but you'll see it when you open the cabinet. Note that the trim is secured from the factory by tiny nails/staples(?) so there are pinholes in places.
