It has a pull string and there is a bulb included. There is a rose design on the back. I really didnt even notice the dragon fly till I started writing this review and saw it in the title. Its uniqueness outshines the dragonfly design. This lamp is absolutely beautiful and I wish I had more like this. It would be a great addition to anyones home or as a gift.
