These are solid, heavy lamps. The base is wide enough to support the shade---no chance of them tipping over (I was worried about that!). LOVELY design. Beautiful glow with low wattage bulb on one side, bright enough to read with a bigger wattage in the other one. Packaging was OVER THE TOP. My only complaint is that I was under the impression (and this is one of the reasons I purchased these lamps), that they were made in USA...only to find a "made in China" sticker on the bottom of the lamp :( :(. It’s a beautiful lamp that feels sturdy. A few complaints-I didn’t like all the rigid styrofoam it came in- a full big black trash bag worth. But it wasn’t broken so…. As other reviewers have said the lamp is easy to topple. It’s top front heavy but we don’t have any issues with it in the corner if no one bumps it. Lots of problems with this item. Manufacturer listed as “Set of 2” which is incorrect. Received only one lamp shipped in two boxes. Contacted manufacturer who stated they never sell sets of lamps, only individual. Here’s an idea….how about you get the listing correct next time so a potential customer has the proper information. Manufacturer also disclaims color variance in the shade which is normal due to lighting, however, the lower half of the shade is predominately dark purple, which in no way resembles the blue of the listing photos.
