This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. The instructions were not easy to follow at all. We have the same exact couch in a grey but I don’t remember it being this hard to set up. The couch is solid though and we must have liked it for us to get 2 of it! This one is in our family room and it has a beautiful royal blue color to it. If you are looking for a less bulky set that is still long and has room, this should do it. It does not look cheap. But I will say this - from knowledge of the other grey one we have, the fabric starts to have piles on it after a short time and this happens with age and from rubbing (sitting) upon it. I am now seeing that there might be ways to remove piling from furniture. This little love seat was neither easy nor difficult to assemble the instructions were reasonably clear but it took quite a while to finish. Lots of hex bolts to turn in sometimes tight places. The assembly time for this wasn’t bad. It took less than half an hour for two people. It sits very low to the ground so probably isn’t the best bet for someone with bad knees. The pillow cushions on the seat portion are not removable, so they can only be spot cleaned. It seems reasonably sturdy and is a cute little addition to my home office/den. It’s definitely not top of the line quality, but suits the purpose I need it for. Bonus that it pulls out to a bed! As far as comfort, the pillow cushions are a bit flat, but I’m guessing they’ll plump up over time. The mechanism to slide it into a bed is pretty easy to use. Great for a den or playroom!
