This is the third of this type umbrella I have purchased. I love them but they last only about 2 years. The thatch part is like a plastic material and it will disintegrate in the hot sun. Im in Texas so the sun gets scorching here. I’m aware that the thatch won’t last indefinitely and aware that I will need to replace my umbrella every few years but I love the look and the cost of a new umbrella is very reasonable so I will continue to order a replacement when this one needs to be replaced. .. I absolutely adore my new four-season gazebo! It’s spacious, sturdy, and incredibly strong. I secured the post using heavy-duty bolts on a reinforced deck foundation. The instructions were not the most user-friendly, but since I’m quite handy with assembling things, I managed to comprehend most of the directions. However, I can understand how some people might find it challenging. Lastly, please don’t be like me and attempt to assemble this gazebo on your own. This gazebo is absolutely beautiful! Our concrete footprint was a rectangle, so the typical 10x10 or 8x10 options wouldn’t fit. This one worked perfectly because, even though it’s listed as a 12x10 gazebo, the actual footprint is only 7x10. It looks great, feels sturdy, and was much easier to assemble than the metal gazebos we’ve had before—though it still took about four hours with two people. So far this gazebo is beautiful in white. The only reason it loses a star is the anchors dont hold well to strong winds, nearly lost the thing in my neighbors yard with a 30mph gust of wind. We had to use concrete deck footings to keep it weighted down, since then no issues. The other issue is the white discolors too easily to a yellowish creme color. Fortunately, the discoloration still matches the house so it appears by design. But if you need it to stay white, it wont stay that way for some of it. Other than that assembly was pretty self explantory but does require two people to assemble so bear that in mind. It is also not rain proof.
