This patio bench is made of High-density polyethylene (HDPE),which resists cracking, breaking, and peeling. It has the beautiful touch of wood, but unlike wood or PS materials cracking in dry conditions or rotting in frequent moisture, this chair stays sturdy no matter the weather (hot, rain, or snow). The color is long-lasting and won't fade or dull. They look like new, even after a few years of use! The backrest of our bench is not totally straight, a slightly tilted angle provides good support for your back.

The positive praise first. One star because it looks cute, I wanted to love this piece. The wood looks nice at first glance or even from afar. Now with my personal issues. I opened the package inside my house. After getting through the cardboard, foam, tape, plastic wrap and bubble wrap I found mold on the wood! Yikes! I immediately closed the packaging and placed the item on my outdoor porch for a few days until I could decide what to do. I used the robot chat which did contact the manufacturer. This was a much slower process than calling Wayfair but still effective. They offered a discount on a future product or a refund if I sent the item back. Returning anything is a hassle for me so I just stayed with the item. The quality and size are not phenomenal. The bench is a little rocky doesn’t feel secure for functional sitting regularly.
