These are heavier and sturdier than I expected them to be. I have not installed them yet, but the video makes it look simple. It was nice having it all in a kit. I'm not sure the price was any savings. I'm pretty sure it came to a bit more than I feel doing it a la carte would be, but, this way they supply the right stuff up front, so I'm good with it. The tile is awesome!!! I have to admit I don’t like the Spanish marble. But my husband got to pick the tile and I picked everything else. The tile however was easy to install and looks really good. Seems durable and wipes clean. I feel I should know my husband is a mechanic and very far from a contractor- so if it was easy for him to do I think any do it yourselfer could benefit from the beautiful look of tile without actual tile. We suggest applying the adhesive to the panel, applying circle blobs of caulking about 6"–8” apart throughout the sheet. We also suggest applying 100% silicone, about a ¼” thick continuous silicone bead around the panel, about ½” from the edge, to ensure a good edge seal and prevent moisture or debris from getting behind the panel.

Aside from shipping issues these tiles are great. They are strong and forgiving of less than desirable walls. Watch the videos and do exactly as they say and installation with be quick and smooth. I used these for my bathtub surround and being 68 doing it alone I was able to do it all myself. I did it in two days mostly because I was hesitant about doing it around the water lines. my plumbing hadn't been touched since at least the 50s and had longer bigger pipes than today. Cutting and drilling out the holes was never a problem. I will say though using a utility knife for anything other than trimming edges is difficult. Luckily I had a small table saw that worked great. Use the FlexStone 3" Standard Trim to finish additional edges on FlexStone wall panels. This is the same trim found in FlexStone Bathtub and Shower Surround Kits. Trim can be ordered in all available FlexStone colors. Installation is easy. Simply use Performance Pro adhesive to glue the trim to the edge of your FlexStone wall surround panels. Then seal all seams using 100% silicone caulking. The FlexStone 3" Standard Trim is intended to be used with FlexStone wall surrounds only.
