Terracotta Shade Sail

The Royal Shade Rectangle Waterproof Shade Sail from Wayfair is a practical and modern solution for creating instant outdoor coverage. The rectangular shape gives clean lines overhead, making patios, backyards, and pool areas feel more structured and intentional. The waterproof fabric is a standout feature. It’s designed to provide protection from both sun and light rain, which adds versatility beyond standard shade cloths. The material feels durable and substantial, built to withstand outdoor exposure when installed properly with the included hardware kit and ropes. Installation hardware being included is a major convenience. It allows for a more secure, tensioned setup, which is important for stability and proper water runoff. Once installed, it creates a sleek canopy effect that elevates an outdoor space without the bulk of a traditional pergola or umbrella. Overall, it’s a streamlined, functional option for adding shade and weather protection while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic outdoors.. Naza. CA. Wed Aug 05 2026

ColourTree super ring shade sails are the most durable shade sails on the market; they are made of 260 GSM permeable HDPE (high-density polyethylene) fabric with cable wires built into edges and integrated into our patented steel mounting corners.

Made very well!! Made a shade for the horses since it was going to be 105 all week. Material is thick and the cable running through it is nice because you don’t have to worry about the material ripping like a normal shade cloth. Hardware is nice and heavy. Anonymous. Mon Aug 03 2026

Super nice but I ordered the wrong size--I reordered a larger size.. Glen. Lehigh Acres, FL. Mon Jul 27 2026

I needed some shade for the car with the heat this year. I have purchased shade sails from WAYFAIR in past years. The awning arrived intact and we are in the process of completing this project: painting posts with tops and using dacron line with clips we can remove it for tropical storms/hurricanes. The color and fabric match what I have for other awning/shade sails. Thank-you.. Karen. Avon Park, FL. Tue Jun 30 2026

It came with all the hardware to install it and the directions seem easy to follow for installation. Once I install it, I will update this review.. Barbie. CA. Sun Nov 23 2025

Installed this rectangular shade sail over our back patio and its made a huge difference — covers our seating area and the kids play space, and cuts the afternoon sun noticeably. We got 2 different kinds of shades that were made with different material. This one is by far the best. We got it to put over our trampoline to help keep our kids cool during the summer and to protect it from birds and leaves that fall from our tree. We are impressed with the quality. Good stitching and It’s water proof. Its kinda got a tarp feel to it, but softer. It’s waterproof so we can jump in the rain. Good times for sure. Hopefully it will last a long time.. Katie. Norman, OK. Tue Sep 22 2026

This shade sail is perfect for lowering the temperature in the pool. The water was 94° and not conducive to swimming. The day the shade sail was installed, the water temperature dropped to a refreshing 84° with the same high temperature in the high 90s.The pool can now be enjoyed all day. With UV indexes high every day here in Georgia (could not get the address listed to change) a portion of the pool is shaded all day. With the noted change in water temperature, another shade sail was ordered to block the sun from patio doors facing SW. That will be added soon and a review forthcoming.. Barbara. Pine Bluff, AR. Enjoy your outdoor living spaces and remain cool with this Sun 8' x 12' Rectangular Shade Sail. It can block harmful sun rays yet remains unaffected by moisture and natural temperature extremes. These are nice. Not the material I was expecting though, but it works. Even with purchasing the installation kit with tension hooks, we couldn’t get the sails to be right and flat, so we left some lack. Overall happy with the product. Jillian. Russell, MA. Tue Apr 20 2021

Excellent heavy duty shade sail!. The continuous wire and heavy duty corner brackets make it vey strong and will no doubt last. The grey goes perfect with my house color so I used it over my open front courtyard. Blocks out at least 90% of the sun as you can see in the picture I took looking directly at the sun. Really great and makes my courtyard so much more enjoyable all day.. Brian. Reno, NV. Sat Jul 25 2026
