Yes, they are expensive and worth every penny! I'm not sure WHY the title has the word "Sateen" in the description. These are the same SUPERIOR brand sheets I have purchased for 12-15 years and they are 100% Egyptian Cotton and sturdy not thin like many of sateen sheets are. i am very picky with what I put on my bed, I am a texture person. I love soft textures but love the look of linen, which can be a hard combo sometimes. this bedding is not stiff at all, very soft to touch and has no tough spots. the green is absolutely perfect for my neutral styled home, it is the perfect shade of olive green. some greens are too deep or too rich in color and they can contrast other colors too much, this shade is so universal because it is perfectly earth toned.
