The only downside is that the bars at the top are very flimsy and it didnt come with the rod to be able to hang things on. I had to purchase that separately. I bought 2 ladder bookcases for my son's room. They arrived quickly, although the delivery was a mess, and my husband had them together in a few minutes. Once mounted on the wall I was surprised by how good they look! They hold a surprising amount of my son's prized Lego sets, among other things, and are very sturdy! The bookcase was fairly easy to put together, though it probably would have gone faster if my dog Unni had not been trying to “help” during assembly. It ended up being a little smaller than I originally expected, but that was on me for not checking the dimensions closely enough before ordering. In the end, it worked out well as a compact bookshelf for the bedroom. One of my favorite features is the built in lighting. The brightness is adjustable, which makes it great for softer nighttime lighting. I personally don’t use the touch slider controls very often because it also comes with a remote, which is honestly really convenient since I can adjust the lights without getting out of bed.
