There are a couple of things to be aware of: 1) Although easy to do, there are many pieces to assemble, so count on maybe 2-3 hours of time to fully assemble the desk, hutch and all of the drawers. 2) Given the type of coated particle board construction that is used, there were some small blemishes on corners/ends of a few of the pieces. Looks great! It’s very sturdy. The black looks really nice. Took my husband two hours to put together but he wasn’t rushing. The drawers open smoothly but they do make slight sound as it sort of scrapes along the metal. The drawers don’t have stoppers so COULD fall on toes BUT they’re so deep that I can’t imagine that happening. We do plan to remedy that in some way because it for our 7yo son, but not necessary for older kids or adults. chair opening is very large which makes it nice for widercrossed-legged chairs. Originally came with broken pieces in the shipment. The company resent the defective pieces at no charge. The padded seat was worse the second time, but I’ll just reupholster it myself instead of requesting a 3rd one. It would be best if the company would figure out a new way to ship the seat so that it doesn’t get pinchedmishapen. The tiny screws were a bear to screw into the wood. Small, predrilled holes would have been a great touch. Overall, the vanity looks nice assembled and my daughter likes it, but certainly some room for improvement with shipping and ease of assembly.. We purchased this small computer desk for our daughters room. She has a small room so this fit perfectly in a small corner within her room and is perfect for her needs. Very pretty desk, we’re using it as my daughter’s home schooling work station instead of a vanity and it’s working well so far. It was definitely a process putting together, took close to 6 hours but it’s well worth it. The mirror isn’t a great quality, but I am going to remove it and paint over it with chalk paint..
