I shopped for a long time at multiple retailers looking for a chair with all the features. This one has a seat wide enough for my dog to sit with me, swivels, and has a cup holder. I was looking for all these features plus a light gray tweed fabric and built in automated controls. As it turned out, this one having a corded remote turned out to be fortunate as the remote did not work and the vendor had to send a replacement. Had it been built in and not worked the whole chair would have had to be boxed up and returned for an exchange. I am not sure I could have done that without help due to the weight. The replacement remote took 14 days by FedEx which was unimaginable but this was not Wayfair's fault. Not sure how well the furry white fabric will hold up, but it is pretty.. Margaret. For the price, this is a great piece for a small space. The seat is a little stiff and both my husband and I think that it is really comfortable reclined. We have both enjoyed the massage feature. We are using this as an extra seat when we have guests so the price point and the sturdiness work for our purpose. If you are purchasing this as daily seating, I think the comfort would be OK, but it's not exceptionally sturdy. If we were using it as daily seating, I would assume we'd be replacing it in 3 or so years. The other thing that I find issue with is that the packing was not the best. The chair pieces and the remote came protected, but the cords attached to the motor in the chair were not. The connection to the motor was slightly smashed. I was able to use pliers to reshape it and get the connection without a problem. I received this chair through the Tried and True Review Program. If I had purchased the chair and it arrived with the smashed connector, I would have promptly requested a return and reship. The manufacturer should make sure the inner connecters are wrapped and protected as they did the rest of the chair. Other than that, the chair is working out great for us and we are appreciating it for our intentions in our home. It is also a pretty chair.
