This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. I absolutely love this little couch!! Its the perfect size for my studio apartment. Its very lightweight, but durable enough for just me. The pillows and cushions puffed out nicely. It was fairly easy to put together, took me about 40 minutes. But be sure to pay attention to the pictures, because it makes a difference. The material is great. This chair is amazing. I needed a small sofa and did not have any futon-type item in mind at all, but when I saw that this could be manipulated in so many ways, I thought it would be pretty handy - and attractive - and it is! I have a big 'golden sammy' dog and NO dog hair clings to it! BIG WIN. I got the gray color and it looks very rich, soft, and inviting.
