Just bought a second Menendez Teak Steamer Lounge Chair! The teak is gorgeous and they are very comfortable. I applied rosewood oil (this is not a stain) to both chairs which really brings out the rich, warm, red tones of the wood. These chairs are a homerun. A expensive boutique look but at an accessible price. They have a handmade (in a good way) artisan made look and feel to them. No bolts or screws are used, but dowels instead. This gives them a nice clean, and elegant look. The woven seat and back are threaded through cutout notches that also give it that artisan feel. It is very sturdy and solid. The low profile is another big plus for me as these sit outside a master bedroom patio and didnt want them to block the view. The biggest plus is they came already put together! The only thing I would possibly tweak is moving the back bar on the seat a touch further back....but other than that they are absolutely perfect and just what i was looking for. I love these chairs! So stylish and comfortable. Interesting chairs from a visual and design point of view. We find them comfortable and long enough in the back to rest your head on (I’m 6’4”). They do creak a bit when you settle into them, which might sound a little alarming to some. We bought two, one arrived with one leg completely broken. This was replaced by the vendor but I had to return that chair which was time consuming and annoying. Replacement chair arrived yesterday, in good condition.
