I’m really impressed with this umbrella, especially for the size. I don’t have the table that it will go into yet or a base (it doesn’t come with a base) It provides a huge amount of shade and easily covers multiple chairs, so it would work really well over a larger patio seating or dining area. The canopy is a pretty warm creambeige rather than a stark white, and the wood-look pole and ribs make it look much more expensive than a typical metal patio umbrella. It blends beautifully with neutral outdoor furniture. The pulleyrope opening system is straightforward to use, and once fully opened the canopy feels nice and substantial. I also like that the fabric has ties so it can be secured neatly when the umbrella is closed. The canopy fabric has a slightly textured look that keeps it from looking cheap or overly shiny. One thing shoppers should know is that this is a very large umbrella. It has a lot of presence, so make sure you have enough clearance around your patio and a sturdy, appropriately sized base. Because of the large canopy, I also wouldn’t leave it open during strong winds. Overall, I’m very happy with it. This is by far the best market umbrella I’ve ever owned. I opted for the sunbrella fabric as it’s heavier than the other fabrics I’ve owned in the past (and did not last as long).This umbrella has a bronze colored pole and is operated by a hand crank although it does have an auto tilt feature. The auto tilt is amazing as you slowly keep cranking after the umbrella is fully extended, the auto tilt engages and the umbrella will automatically tilt. Once you start cranking in the opposite direction to close the umbrella, the auto tilt disengages and the umbrella stands upright so you can finish closing it. I bought the 12’x12’ Size and it is awesome! It provides amazing shade on our sun drenched mountain back porch. It’s substantial, impressive and beautiful. I also purchased a compatible wheeled base, which I highly recommend if you think you’ll need it to be portable. The only issue is that the upper canopy arrived with a small tear in it and we’re waiting on next steps from the manufacturer.
