The chairs are smooth and a nice teak color. Very pretty. My debate/issue is comfort. My back is far from reaching the back of this chair. It’s even deeper than is stated because of the wood on the back of the seat and where the chair hits your back (see it slant backwards). Will have to buy pillows if we decide to keep them. Kristin.
