We have a large table that was just amazing but taking up to much space for the two of us so we wanted to downsize but not loose the style and charm that our previous dining room presented when having guests. I even found a way to stylishly store my extra napkins and rings in the table legs or extra salt and pepper shakers when needing to clear the table! The chairs weren’t recommended for this table but absolutely should be as they match almost perfectly and that’s saying something considering how one is metal and one is wood! My old folding 13 yr old untreated teak table reached its end, so I was only too happy to find this one to finally replace it. Good delivery and packing, one big flat square box, no damage. I was in love with the wood right out of the box, did not want to mess with it. It’s smooth, even all over, and solid. All we had to do was attach the legs. However, following other reviews and since it would be exposed all summer and possibly a rainy fall before I store it for winter, I treated it with a couple layers of teak oil. It still looks gorgeous after 3 weeks and I’m very happy with my purchase. I was eyeing some 1500-range teak tables on Wayfair that looked better in pictures, but decided on this one when I found it. The chairs are smooth and a nice teak color. Very pretty. My debate/issue is comfort. My back is far from reaching the back of this chair. It’s even deeper than is stated because of the wood on the back of the seat and where the chair hits your back (see it slant backwards). Will have to buy pillows if we decide to keep them. Kristin.
