This is my first electric kettle and I am very pleased. It is easy to fill, heats up quickly, and doesn't take up a lot of space on the counter. heats up using the minimum water level, when heating water for a cup of hot tea. I was using a Pyrex glass measuring cup to heat one cup of water in the mornings in my microwave and it would take almost 5 minutes to begin boiling. I like my hot water fairy hot so really excited that now it takes a minute to two minutes at the most. This was a great purchase and priced very reasonable. I have seen too many reviews, saying it leaks all over when pouring because they’re trying to pour through the whistle opening rather than the kettle opening! Honestly, some people should not be allowed to write reviews if they don’t understand how to use the simplest of products!! My first kettle is 20 years old and I only bought a new one because I changed my kitchen color scheme. Over the years that kettle heated water on gas, electric, and wood stoves with never a problem .
