Pardon the mess. I just put together a shoe cabinet before I decided to add reviews. The tape works! I only used about 2.5 inches on each corner. The rug is flat and stays in place when we open the door. I needed something thin enough to hold it in place but not get stuck on the door whenever it was opened and closed. These are self explanatory, I received 8 in the package. So far so good, they are very sticky and are holding up to my two large dogs sliding on the rug. I haven’t tried to remove to see if there is any marks left on the hardwood, as I don’t want to chance weakening the stickiness of them. I have used these on every carpet in the house. I have wood floors, and its difficult to keep the carpets from sliding. Each corner I have placed these carpet stickers, and now my carpets stay in place. They are extremely sticky and even work on my outdoor carpets.
