Tanjore Bohemian Rug

This Alaia rug uses shades of blue, rust, brown and earthy taupe paired with beautiful florals, vines, and graceful saz-style leaves .The blend of subdued tones and the elegant juxtaposition of patterns achieve a harmonious fusion of styles and textures, fostering a sense of tranquility and relaxation. It also creates a feeling of grandeur and spaciousness in the room. This soft cashmere area rug features low-pile surface, non-slip backing, ideal for high-traffic area, such as living room, bedroom, kitchen, dining room, entryway.

I ordered the Ailine Maroon color, and even though the color on the website lighting makes it appear more red wine/burgundy colored, in person, in daylight, the color presents more like a reddish plum and the thread around the perimeter is more brown than maroon. Fortunately, it still goes with the rose-colored fabric of the chair I ordered, which presents as more of a mauve, so the two items still coordinate well together without matching! I got lucky. It's super thin, but since it's going in a sitting room off of my kitchen, I won't need a rug pad. It's very soft! It's a white polyester soft fuzzy fabric, that has a print sublimated over the top of the fabric, so if you run your finger over it and look closely you can tell the design is only on top of the rug and it's not a woven wool rug, but it's not apparent if not looking closely. Way less money than a wool rug would be, too, and easily machine washable, so it has its benefits. I'd definitely buy this rug again, and it fits all my needs and expectations as to the style and quality of rug I was hoping to receive for the price. For comparison, the difference in color between the online shots vs. the color of it under the daylight in my home next to the mauve chair it will soon be under.. Ss. Chicagoland. Tue Sep 01 2026

This is really nice - the colors are rich and the thickness is just right - much better than some of the cheap terry-cloth rugs that have become common. Looks much more expensive than it actually is!!. Patrick. Chicago, IL. Thu Sep 17 2026

So soft, and fits my space perfectly. It’s thin, so maybe would recommend a carpet pad underneath.. Anna. Kansas City, MO. Mon Sep 28 2026

This flatweave area rug elevates your living room with a motif inspired by classic Persian textile arts and lodge-inspired style. It's handmade in India from 65% wool, and 35% polyester – a material that's naturally durable, hypoallergenic, and stain-resistant. The design features a high-low pile height with rows of cream geometric patterns that stand out against the gray background. This makes it a great choice for creating a cozy environment in lower-traffic rooms. We recommend rolling out a rug pad underneath to keep it securely in place.

Absolutely love! It add so much texture to my room, not just another plain rug. However, it has no padding to it so if you are looking for squishy under feet, buy a rug pad. Also, if you want a soft feeling rug, then I would not get this one. The material and texture is semi rough and would not be comfortable to sit on. I absolutely love it for our use though!. Natalie. Pensacola, FL. Thu Sep 24 2026

The design features geometric and floral motifs inspired by Persian patterns with plenty of purposeful fading for a vintage-inspired feel. The low pile height makes it a practical choice for high-traffic areas where doors need to open and close without catching. Since it's stain-resistant, this piece handles everyday messes in busy households with ease. It also stays safe to use on floors with underfloor heating. We recommend pairing this piece with a rug pad to prevent slipping. Hand-curated by Kelly Clarkson.
