This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. Very simple to put together. Getting the covers on the cushions was a little tricky but after doing two I figured it out quickly.To get rid of the wrinkles others have mentioned,as you are zipping the covers reach inside and adjust the cushion.Try to make sure all corners are filled. Also I bought some strips of velcro to make sure the cushions stay in place. Oh make sure you have a person help with getting the back put in. It makes it a little easier. This Cognac faux leather sofa from Wayfair is absolutely gorgeous, but assembling it was a whole thing. Even with two of us working on it, connecting some of the pieces felt impossible. And don’t even get me started on the pillows—after they expanded out of the shrink-wrap, squeezing them into those covers was like a full contact sport. I genuinely thought we were going to tear them. That said, now that it’s all together, it’s super sturdy and the color is just chef’s kiss. I got the curry velvet color. It looks quite different than the color in the picture but I was expecting that from other photos. More deep orangey red brown than tan. But I actually think it's so beautiful! Took me and my boyfriend about 45 minutes to set it up, it was fairly easy. The bottom cushion is firm and the back cushions are nice and soft. I got it for my therapist office and I think that is a perfect combination for clients sitting on it regularly. As several other reviews have mentioned, the assembly while straightforward is a little tricky. The couch arrives in three different boxes. One box has the bench seat which contains the legs and cushions inside the bottom of it. You will need two people minimum to assemble this couch. Once you lineup, the pieces like the arm and the seat you will have to push down, but you won’t see it going in so you have to line it up really well before you start pushing it in. it’s easy to get one side in and then not get the other side in. for the first arm attachment, we stood the seat up on its end, making it easier. with two people it took about 30 minutes to unpack it and assemble it. The legs look OK but they’re just inexpensive plastic so they’re not that beautiful. You might want to replace them with custom legs. Luckily there are lots of places that sell really cool furniture legs if you want something nicer. I think the couch is very comfortable. It has a generous size seat. It is a firmer couch, but the wide arms are really comfy to lean on and it’s comfortable when you stretch out on it. It looks really great. The fabric is nice and the pillows are very high-quality.
