The runner looks lovely , exactly what I needed for dogs not to slide on hardwood floors. It has non slip backing. The design is pretty. I'm waiting for two other sizes ot the same kind. The only thing I would like to suggest, is, that instead of folding the runner, it could be rolled up. That way it would look nice and straight on the floor when unpacked. When I first received this rug, the only pattern that was showing in the package was little flowers. I had to double-check what I ordered, and there were, indeed, little flowers on the inside of the design. However, the description calls it medallion, and I would agree with that description. The neutral colors of beige, tan, and gray make this a rug that would basically go with any decor. I replaced a dark rug with this rug, and I really like that it brightened up the room. It has a very short pile, and the rug feels very soft under your feet. There is a rubber backing that grips the floor, so that helps prevent tripping or slipping on the rug.
