Just what we were wanting to build. Saw these and they fit the space perfect! Added some wheels and handles and they look custom. My only complaint is the way they are built and how you lose space. The trunk is as it looks. Hinges seem strong but even if they weren't, the wood is so light that it wouldn't hurt fingers. If you are looking for a solid piece of furniture, this isn't it. I love how solid and sturdy the crate is. The wood does have a lot of very large knotholes on every side (not shown in the photos) but my main complaint is that I ordered the color “white” but when the item arrived it had no stain of any kind—it’s raw wood. I was expecting “white” to mean that a whitewashed or “pickled” stain was used instead of a dark finish like the other 2 options offered. Assembly could have gone smoother. My drill was too big, my screw driver was too big. Some holes werent pre drilled and yet, by time I put it together (which I didnt realize I was going to have to do) I absolutely loved it.
