You don't notice the, and I hate to use this word, but 'cheapness' of the cabinet until you open the doors and drawers. Kinda flimsy but for my purposes, it was okay. Overall, this cabinet looks really nice and is a good quality. My only complaints are that no matter how much I adjusted the brackets on the cabinet doors they didn’t meet. These are nice storage cabinets. It took about 8 hours to assemble two units. We put 2 of these cabinets in a nook in a bedroom. They fit perfectly Instructions were clear and helpful. The shelves are stationery but will hold many things. We like the added glass doors at the top, which make it a little nicer in appearance. I gave 4 stars because 1 of the tall doors came with only 2 holes bored for the hinges. So we had to wait for it to be replaced before we could finish. Wayfair is very fast to respond to damage or parts issue and they worked with the manufacturer to get the door replaced in just a few days! It did take 2 people to place the top of the unit onto the bottom half safely. This is a very nice piece and went together very well. Excellent for the function that I needed. My luxury handbags can now be stored, dust free and on display. As for the cabinet, it is all laminated particle board. The white is more of a cooler tone cream, with all of the subtle gray streaks (wood-grain appearance). The handles are more of a copper color, not gold as pictured. I will be replacing the handles soon. Otherwise, it does have lots of pieces, was easy to install and overall, this cabinet met my functional expectations. The fact that it is metal makes it sturdier to me. I adjusted the feet on the bottom because it was going to tip over when I put it in its place in my pantry. I think this will hold better than one made of wood. I think its ok. Its not gonna give anyone a "wow" factor but it serves it purpose and I think it will last for years. I can say I didnt have any dents just a scratch on the side that is visible in my pantry but not adeal breaker. It took me about an hour to assemble and I did it by myself. These bookshelves look amazing in my craftroom. We purchased 3 of them, each one took my husband approximately 3 hours to put together. He then used his own hardware to secure them together to make it look like one large unit. The doors all open well, the shelving seems sturdy enough for my supplies. I only purchased these because of the huge discount, you get what you pay for. If you are looking for “built in craftsmanship,” this option is not for you. We knew we would be downsizing in a few years and did not want to invest a huge amount of money for built ins. Having said that, these units are the showcase of my craftroom!
