It was easy to assemble with 2 people. You almost need 2 people once is starts to be mostly together. That pressed wood can be heavy. It has that cheap backing but it all fit together well. We were able to adjust the doors so they closed nicely and then to get the seam between the doors to be small and straight. It took almost 2 hours. OK..Well I went back and forth with cabinets...Studied them all for days, and tried to remove the ones I found that were metal. I wanted 6 shelves, and these were taller than the rest and matched the Wonston Porter drawers that I purchased days before, so I thought they would be the same. BUT THEY ARE METAL. These were slightly overpriced, in my opinion, but ultimately exactly what we needed--we had a height restriction, as well as a desired depth--and are serving us nicely. Assembly note: you have to drill holes in the doors, for the hinges, and I was a little worried that was going to lead to issues, but it worked out fine...I didn't have to adjust the doors at all, really (maybe I got lucky). Otherwise, these look great and do their job admirably! (tip: I used some of the cardboard from the box to support them on the carpet...without it, they weren't sitting quite straight / evenly). These are nice storage cabinets. It took about 8 hours to assemble two units. We put 2 of these cabinets in a nook in a bedroom. They fit perfectly Instructions were clear and helpful. The shelves are stationery but will hold many things. We like the added glass doors at the top, which make it a little nicer in appearance. I gave 4 stars because 1 of the tall doors came with only 2 holes bored for the hinges. So we had to wait for it to be replaced before we could finish. Wayfair is very fast to respond to damage or parts issue and they worked with the manufacturer to get the door replaced in just a few days! It did take 2 people to place the top of the unit onto the bottom half safely. This is a very nice piece and went together very well.
