I wonder why I lived so long with an unfunctional, sloppy plastic kitchen trash can whose step-open function had broken within months of purchase. THIS TRASH CAN IS GREAT. It is heavy enough not to move around, neat and efficient. It has a plastic insert which can be removed for cleaning. The step function with soft-close is a great feature.
