In the 1960s, when details on the space race headlined the cover of every magazine and the Russian Sputnik satellite inspired a whole movement in futuristic home decor, rod and ball construction really had a moment. They revived the best of that construction and plated this standard in a modern brass finish so that it simultaneously harkens to the past and beckons to the future. Situated atop a clear base, the combination of metal and crystal paired with a cotton drum shade make for a versatile piece that will last for decades to come.

These lamps exceeded our expectations! They arrived well packaged, and even though I had already cut the box open before taking pictures, everything inside was protected and arrived in perfect condition. Assembly couldn’t have been easier, it took less than 5 minutes to have both lamps completely set up. The shades fit nicely, and the instructions (though hardly needed) were clear and straightforward. The quality is impressive for the price. The bases have a substantial feel, the finish looks even better in person, and the linen shades give off a warm, inviting light. They look much more expensive than they actually are and fit our space perfectly. Overall, this was another great Wayfair purchase. If you’re looking for stylish, well-made table lamps that are quick to assemble and look fantastic right out of the box, I would definitely recommend these. Five stars!. Sherry. MD. Wed Jul 29 2026

For the price, these are great. The gold is very muted so if you’re looking for a real gold color, this is not it. The lampshades come flat, but really put together quickly and easily. If you are gonna have a 360 view, these are not the lampshades for you as the seam in the back is Velcro and sticks out.. Lora. GA. Tue Apr 28 2026

Beautiful lamp - would buy again. The lampshade colour is a warmer tone than the cool white shown, which I prefer. The gold is a nice soft tone, not too brassy. It’s a good weight and looks very elegant without being overly flashy.. Sally. Calgary, AB. Wed May 13 2026

A 40" tall buffet lamp with a gold leaf sculpted base and creamy parchment shade. Its unique-traditional design suits dining room sideboards or entryways with elegant charm.

So beautiful! My only complaint is that the shades don’t tighten very tight so they tend to get tilted when you reach up to turn them on. I’ve just learned to try not to bump them. Holly. Horseshoe Bay, TX. Wed Apr 22 2026
