These are nice storage cabinets. It took about 8 hours to assemble two units. We put 2 of these cabinets in a nook in a bedroom. They fit perfectly Instructions were clear and helpful. The shelves are stationery but will hold many things. We like the added glass doors at the top, which make it a little nicer in appearance. I gave 4 stars because 1 of the tall doors came with only 2 holes bored for the hinges. So we had to wait for it to be replaced before we could finish. Wayfair is very fast to respond to damage or parts issue and they worked with the manufacturer to get the door replaced in just a few days! It did take 2 people to place the top of the unit onto the bottom half safely. This is a very nice piece and went together very well. OK..Well I went back and forth with cabinets...Studied them all for days, and tried to remove the ones I found that were metal. Looks great, sturdy, but overengineered in some places while underengineered in others. The good part: 1) Looks great 2) Lots of storage space 3) Can move shelves around to create bigger/smaller spaces The bad: 1) Assembly took forever. I don't understand why you need three screws for each hinge door and then three additional screws to attach to the side panel for EACH hinge. Two is the standard for a reason. 2) Don't understand why most of the screws are black, the door stoppers are brown, and the magnets and door screws are silver. We are using this as a shoe cabinet. Wayfair calls it a bookshelf, but I don’t think I would ever recommend it for books — the shelves are not adjustable and are way too short for books. They are perfect for our shoes, though! Even our boots fit nicely on the taller shelves. I am giving four stars because the construction of the doors, though cute, is not very sturdy at all. If you have active pets or kids I think they’re likely to break easily. Hopefully ours hold up since it’s in an out of the way location in our home, but only time will tell. We had a very small pantry and needed more pantry space. We have 10 ft ceilings, so I liked that the height of this cabinet and the # of shelves. I also liked that the shelves were adjustable. I didn’t want to deal with two oversized doors that would be cumbersome to open and close, so this layout was much more practical for my space. For the price, I think it’s a great value. It’s obviously not a high-end furniture piece—it’s a simple white laminate finish—but that’s exactly what I expected for around $175. The laminate is actually a plus in a laundry room since it’s easy to wipe clean and doesn’t seem like it will show wear as easily as painted surfaces. My husband assembled it without any issues, and it feels sturdy enough for storing all of our laundry essentials.
