Unlike a traditional bookcase, this stately etagere bookcase has an airy, open silhouette that's super inviting. The frame is made from a series of steel rectangles with a brushed antique gold finish. Four fixed wood shelves made from solid acacia veneers provide a sturdy surface for books, candles, vases, and just about any other accent you can imagine. We love the contrast of the dark walnut finish against the metal frame. This bookcase also comes with a tip-over restraint device for safety, and to help you easily mount it to your wall if desired.

You can use it for actual storage in any place in your room, improving your organization and showcasing your favorite books/trinkets and other decorative accents for your space, a convenient solution to the problem of stacking.

I like the design. For anyone that has books or dvd's it maybe hard for them to prop up alone without support. Only issues is the packers at the warehouse or manufacture packed it with scuffs in the black paint on multiple parts. I tried to hide them toward the back side. I would send it back for a replacement but Wayfair charges for shipping it back to the price of the item. The carriers beat up the package during transit for sure. This will most likely be my last order from Wayfair due to shopping online isn't as expected when you get it in person.. Anonymous. Sun Jul 12 2026

Inspired by the designer’s wife, an avid collector of decorative pieces of all shapes and sizes, the problem was simple: traditional fixed-shelf bookcases often couldn’t fit her newly purchased décor. After hearing her frustrations one too many times, the designer asked himself: **Why not create a bookcase with fully adjustable interior space that adapts to changing needs—and even to new homes after moving?** The result is a bookshelf that truly evolves with you. Its shelves can be adjusted freely to accommodate items of different sizes, and the overall width can also be modified to adapt to various room layouts. Reversible cubbies and multi-scenario flexibility make this unit both practical and stylish for living rooms, offices, or entryways. Finished in a warm rustic brown with realistic wood-grain texture, it brings a contemporary yet cozy touch to any space. Even better, the tool-free design ensures quick and easy assembly—completed in under 30 minutes. Turn everyday clutter into a beautifully organized display with a bookcase designed to grow and change with your life.

This is a very sturdy, solid bookcase and fits perfectly in the small entryway to our coastal bedroom. I rated it a 4 because one of the cane panels wasn't stretched tight enough compared to the others so there was a slight bulge. Otherwise, it would have been a 5. The cane is a nice touch to complement the wood. Wayfair Customer Service has been great in resolving the issue. I also used the assembly service from Angi. Our technician did a great job, was professional and personable, was careful with all the pieces, and was on time (actually early).. Karen. Windsor, CT. Sat Jul 04 2026

I am very impressed with the build quality of this library. It feels incredibly sturdy and well-made, worth the purchase. Not everything arrived in perfect condition but I was pleasantly surprised by how easy the assembly process was. The only minor downside for me is the wood pattern and color. I wish there had been more variety to choose from, as only one option was available, and it wasnt my first choice. However, the structural integrity and overall perfect build more than make up for it. If you’re looking for a solid piece of furniture that is built to last, I highly recommend this!. Pooyan.
