I was also worried about the low price and quality. I am very impressed with this. First, it is heavy - the stated specs are 22.7 lbs and it is closer to 45lbs. That means it is sturdy and robust. The pump and light are easy to assemble. This took me more time to unbox than it did to set up. It was packaged in a large box with ample hard foam padding all four sides. The sound of the water is loud enough to hear over a noise AC unit but not so loud that it is distracting. This fountain is beautiful. Its scale is substantial. Reluctantly knocked off one star because the fountain’s pump/return water system has very little margin for error. It must be absolutely level or the slightest water loss reduces the water levels significantly. Would also consider this for a more protected area like a porch, as a breeze also is enough to reduce water levels. I haven’t yet seen how the hot sun’s evaporation affects this. Meaning, you don't actually have to open the slider on the back to put water in. I have it sitting on a patio table so that it sits higher and is more visible from any vantage point on our patio and from within the house.
