Overall, this is a very nice table. I could not give it five stars because of the difficulty in putting the 12 screws for the hinges in. Although the instructions do not indicate a drill is needed to start the holes and then a drill is also needed to screw in the screws. Because the wood is not prepared for the screws, doing it by hand is not possible. It is easy to put together other than that. Great table, very easy to assemble. Good quality table top, pretty heavy. Great table, very well made and a sturdy piece of furniture. It’s described as ‘drop leaf’ although the extension actually folds out from the middle of the table. This table is just what we needed. Set up was not too confusing, and the look is what we wanted. It’ll fit 4 for an intimate dinner. We love its resting size. It is not too large, but boasts a large enough surface on top when all folded for a nice looking entry-way table. It is a little wobbly, but at this price point we cannot be bothered to care. Also, it is the opposite of smudge resistant. Touch this thing with greasy fingers and everyone will know you were cooking bacon. I’m very happy with this!!
