It wasn’t difficult, just a bit finicky and required a few adjustments before everything lined up evenly. I think this is a very attractive piece of furniture. It looks like it could be an antique or modern! For me, it works very well in my office and holds quite a bit. I assembled it without help and it took about two hours. I did use an electric drill and as others have mentioned, it took a bit of finagling to get the doors straight.
