Ok, so this is surprisingly such a great outdoor patio furniture set. It was a bit of a pain to put together (isn’t all furniture?), but it was well packaged without being annoying to unpack, and the instructions were actually pretty clear. It’s SO comfortable, and the ottomans are massive, so they’re great for putting your feet up but also good for extra seating. The cushions are super comfortable and feel like good quality, and the whole set just feels sturdy. It is a little lighter gray than the picture shows, but honestly, it’s really lovely in person. I really like this sofa. I got royal blue and it really looks great on my deck. It was packaged great and only took about 30 minutes for 2 people to assemble (the only reason you need 2 people is so one can hold pieces while the other screws them in). All the holes lined up and the parts were perfect. I really wanted a high-backed sofa so I could have my neck supported and doze more easily - and they perfectly fits the bill. I only have 2 minor issues. As another reviewer said, the fabric is scratchy. Now, it's waterproof so It's not going to be super soft but I didn't like the way it felt on my bare arms. It's also hot, which I attribute to the waterproof nature negatively affecting breathability. But, it holds the heat of the day for quite a while after the sun has set. I found the cushions to be thick, firm, and very nice otherwise. But I could slightly feel a vertical bar behind my end/back cushion and it bothers me every now and then. I am a large person but not heavier than the weight capacity of the sofa (by far) so I don't know if my discomfort had to do with my size. I did not purchase the Carolina ottomans - the ones you see in the photos are by the same company but are called Gaetanino Wicker Outdoor Ottoman - I love them. I recommend this sofa!. Lisa. Comfortable and very nice! But.. Definitely give yourself an hour to install though. Some of the pieces are mis marked and vague instructions. I bought this outdoor seating set because it’s flexible. You a separate the pieces if you’d prefer smaller seating areas. I also love the wide arm rests. They’re wide enough that you can rest. Plate of food, your drink or more importantly, a book! That rattan is sturdy and holds up well in our New England weather. I can’t say enough positive things bout the cushions. Repels water, if you spill something or it’s rained on the water just puddles and runs off. The cushions are thick and comfy. The back cushions have a zipper so I can take them off to be washed.
