I needed simple, but attractive and effective blinds to go behind some sheer curtains in the bedroom window. They replace older vertical blinds that pre-existed my purchase of the home. Good quality shades, very easy to install, and they do block out all light except what comes in around the edges. They recommended adding 1/2" for proper clearance, the width of my window was 22 1/4", and I didn't want a large gap on the sides of the shade since it was for a bathroom window, so I took a chance and ordered 1/4" larger at 22 1/2", it worked out perfectly, the shade fit the space exactly..
