I have had this couch for a little over two years now. The couch is firm enough. The storage space is a plus as I am able to fit most of my holiday decorations and miscellaneous stuff in the space. It fits about 3-4 people when I have family and friends over. But if you are taller then 6feet, your legs do dangle over the vertical part of the couch and sometimes the pull out part of the couch can come loose.
