Crafted of maple veneers, the cabinet is finished in Charleston green, a weathered interpretation of the dark, almost black green that adorns the trim, shutters, and doors across the historic district of Charleston. Loop pull hardware is in an antique pewter color. One adjustable shelf is behind the doors.

My Alnwick bureau has been moved so many times and been used in so many different decorative schemes that I struggle to remember exactly when it came into our house. The exaggerated cornice and the beautifully rubbed back white exterior help frame the pretty blue interior with its balustrade and its little drawers. Not only is this bureau extremely handsome, but it is also madly useful as a place for storage.

With an heirloom quality and elegant simplicity, the Charleston three-drawer chest and armoire base are crafted of cherry veneers and finished in a black cherry patina with subtle distressing. Slim legs have metal ferrules, and the three drawers have self-closing guides and cherry-colored interiors. The bottom drawer is cedar-lined.

This piece is perfect for my home. I almost did not order it because the description says it is black cherry , maybe they were describing the wood type and I was thinking color.
