Tuned to beautiful melodies and scales from around the world and available in a wide range of styles, songs, and sizes, you can choose the Woodstock Chime that speaks to your soul. How it all began. Garry and his wife Diane founded Woodstock Chimes / Woodstock Percussion, in 1979 and it remains based in New York's Hudson Valley. GRAMMY Award-winning musician Garry Kvistad created the first Woodstock Chime from an aluminum lawn chair he found in a landfill. As a professional musician and instrument designer, he was fascinated by the Scales of Olympos, a 7th-century pentatonic scale that can't be played on a modern piano. Garry had the idea to cut and tune the lawn chair chime tubes to the exact frequency of the ancient scale. The resulting Chimes of Olympos was the first Woodstock Chime and is still one of our best-selling wind chimes.

A timeless symbol of comfort, guidance, and peace, the angel has long represented a presence that offers reassurance and quiet strength. This chime reflects that gentle symbolism, combining a graceful design with soothing sound. Tuned to a pentatonic scale, its tones are soft, harmonious, and naturally calming, creating a peaceful atmosphere wherever it is placed. Whether displayed during the holiday season or enjoyed year-round, this chime serves as a reminder of connection, reflection, and serenity.

Bells have been used throughout the ages to accompany dance, provide comfort, and warn of possible danger. The Chinese were the first to control the pitch or note of a bell, making it possible for them to play tunes. Soon bells were being used to accompany worship. On New Year's Eve, the bells in Buddhist temples are rung 108 times, once for each of the 108 worldly desires. In the East, bells have become very important and are often decorated with significant symbols. For centuries, tuned bells have been suspended in homes and temples to ward off evil and attract good luck and prosperity. Temple Bells Wind Chime is inspired by these ancient bells and works in harmony with the wind to create gentle, soothing tones.
