Whoever said this mattress was soft, fight me, because y’all lied. The bed did fully inflate within the recommended 72 hours. It probably would have been ready around 24 hours, but we followed the directions and let it sit the full 72. It also had no smell, which was a plus. I ordered the 12-inch mattress, and Ill admit I was a little hesitant when I first unboxed it because it was still expanding. However, after letting it sit for the full 48–72 hours, it fully expanded just as it was supposed to. As you can see in the picture with the bed frame, it looks great! I have had spinal surgery and need a firm mattress to support my back. The mattress would probably be great for many people, but I would not call this firm despite being labeled as such.
