Fantastic purchase! First think is this is big and tall. Be prepared to get a lot of sand. I bought 300lbs. and it took it like nothing. Locate and place base begore filling for sure. This is a monster! Great coverage of our ten seater dining table , love the 360 and the tilt mode. It took three adults to put it together it is massive and is a bit tricky , maybe finicky when opening it but once it is open it’s fantastic and provides excellent shade. Make note the base needs to have weight added to it I think the minimum is 660 lbs! We used landscape fabric and some rubber weight plates then covered with rocks and then black river rock . We have two purple leaf umbrellas on different patios. They have worked so well for us that we have recommended them to neighbors as well. It’s been a few years since we bought them and they still work great. We fill the bases with water each spring and empty them in the fall. The fabric has held up well.
