First of all, I didn't receive the same machine that was illustrated on Wayfair. There are 40 tines instead of 32, which makes it much harder to penetrate in the ground, and requires more weight to get deeper penetration. I would have preferred the 32 tines. All in all, this aerator is ok after some modifications. The assembly instructions are practically inexistant, the parts are not identified properly, and the holes for the hinge pins for the tires and the handle assembly are not the same size on the two parts. I modifed the size of the three holes and added bolts in place of the small hinge pins to sturdy the whole assembly. Luckily, I had the space and tools to do these modifications, but someone who doesn't have this at hand, would be up the creek without a paddle! This machine will certanely not hold 330 lbs for very long, I added 150 lbs to start and ended up with 100 lbs to be sure it wouldn't damage the small (5/8'') shaft. The sets of tines are not sharpened nor heat treated and should be welded in pairs (like an Agrifab) so they don't rotate all at once and make the machone bounce around, giving it a better chance to penetrate properly with less weight and no tugging on the tractor. The price is ok (about 50% less than an Agrifab) which as per reviews, also has machanical problems as well. All in all, if these modifications were made, this machine would be about as efficient as an Agrifab at a more reasonable price.
