I bought this after much research, to fill a guest room alcove, so it needed to be comfortable enough for guests sleep on and to use as a cozy reading nook the rest of the time, and exact dimensions were important, as was color. I am thrilled with the sofa. The fabric is a soft velvet and the color is richer and darker than it appears on the website, so Ive taken several pics in different light and configurations. Id describe the color as a dark moss green. The dimensions were very accurate. It took a while to put together (an afternoon) and several of the pieces were fairly heavy, so challenging to drag up the stairs, but it was SO worth it. This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area.
