My family and I love this refrigerator! We’ve had it for about 6mo now, and since it’s time to replace the water filter, I wanted to also leave a review. The ice plus (extra ice) feature comes in handy when we need a lot of ice for a part, etc. For now, we are using the convertible drawer for cold cuts, cheese, and snacks, but I like the option to make it a freezer if we need it.. This is the first time I’ve had a touchless automatic door opener, and trust me, you don’t realize how much you need it until you have it. The super-clean glass finish combined with the counter-depth design makes a huge difference in the look of the kitchen. The built-in water pitcher, plus the dual ice maker that serves both cubed ice and those slow melting whiskey ice balls. Let’s be honest – it’s so much faster and easier to pour water from a pitcher than from a door dispenser, and scooping ice balls with the included scoop feels way more convenient than using the dispenser. The Showcase door (that door-in-door thing) is another win. Milk, juice, snacks — grab them without letting all the cold air out. Saves energy and keeps everything colder. And of course, like all Samsung smart appliances, everything can be controlled from your phone with the SmartThings app – temperature settings, door alarms, even how many ice balls you want each day. I love this fridge. It looks sleek and the middle drawer is super convenient. We use it for drinks not as vegetable drawer. The fridge is smaller but works fine for 2 people. When we could no longer ignore the need to replace the rattly old wheezebucket I started shopping and discovered that we could replace Ol' Stinky with what was essentially the same unit, or spend a little more and get a Bosch. We've had a Bosch dishwasher for over 10 years and have never had a problem, so I was leaning towards believing the "hype" that accompanies this brand in the U.S. I bought the Bosch. This thing is somehow dignified. It looks almost regal shoved into its little corner of our kitchen. It's quiet, the icemaker actually works without scaring the entire household with little grinding explosions every 45 minutes and the temperatures in the refrigerator and freezer stay consistent.
