This bed was somewhat painful to assemble, it took us about 6 hours of work over the course of 8 hours. The instructions were pretty decent to work through but a couple spots needed adjustments. This one had two spots with tiny issues. The first was noticing the lamination over an edge coming off...but I'm thinking that piece got hidden under the stars. So it should be okay. The other incident was when the "X" bolt got put in backwards (rookie) and when removing it the wood splintered a bit. It's in a spot that's not highly visible, in the top front corner of the desk area, and I don't think it affects the integrity of the unit. This bed turned out really nice! I love all the storage it has. It takes about 8 hours to assemble. The only reason I gave this 4 stars is because the drawers don't open very far, and all the bolts used to put this together are very visible, which I thought was a little strange. See pictures.
