Love this bench! It was quite an ordeal to put together but it finally all fit the way it was intended. I would however have put the handles and drawer pulls on before hanging the doors or building the drawers. I am disappointed in the cushion as it is very hard and the off-white is not that pretty with the white wood. The cushion cover is not very snug either. I plan to make a new cover to match my furnishings, so that will solve that problem. I bought this farmhouse storage chest for my daughter’s room, and overall, it is a great addition. The safety hinges work perfectly—the lid stays open on its own and closes slowly, so I dont have to worry about her fingers getting pinched. The internal divider ( is removable ) is also great for keeping her toys and blankets separated.The downside was a small amount of leftover glue residue on the white panels when it arrived out of the box. Thankfully, it wiped away easily with a bit of cleaning. It is an attractive, safe, and functional storage bench for a kids room! The legs were easy to put on (although the diagram was incorrect on the order of the locking washer and regular washer).
