It's a good ping pong paddle for intermediate players. I used the Stiga Evolution for 8 years prior to buying this paddle. This paddle provides more speed and good control. I only played with it for a few hours, but the Evolution has more spin and more "feel" when hitting the ball. It all depends on your style of play and skill level, and preference. After some research on ideal table thickness, we settled on this 25mm ping pong table. It was worth the extra money for the thicker table. Plays really well. I was also really impressed with the way in which the table was packaged. MDF reinforced cardboard and bumpers for the corners. It arrived in perfect condition. It also took less than 30 minutes to put together. Just needed to attach the wheeled legs with a couple of bolts. You need two people to put it together and especially for flipping each half over after the wheels are installed. The metal surround is a nice touch too because the scoring mechanism is magnetic, so can be moved out of the way during play.
