These will work! I needed a skinny, small set of drawers for inside my closet. They are basic and well made. I have all Sterlite storage drawers in my sewing room. I really want to love this drawer for thread, but each drawer is just 1/2" too short. Having to lay the spoils in their sides makes them roll around a lot when opening/closing the drawer. Standing the spools up would be perfect! Please consider either model 2093 or model 2143 with a slightly taller drawer to accommodate really popular thread brands. For reference, the orange Aurifil 50 thread spools shown are 2 7/8" tall.
